Today marks the 3rd anniversary of Sticks-n-sushi in Cambridge, and it reminded me of how excited I was
... when I first saw the "opening soon" signs on the walls of the Guildhall (I am an avid Japanese food lover and was desperate for more in Cambridge!)
... and even more so when I was asked to photograph their Cambridge location ahead of the restaurant opening!
I fell in love with the place as soon as I stepped in. The dark flooring, moody lighting, open kitchen, and minimalist rustic Japanese crockery were music to my ears. I got to photograph the interiors, the chefs at work, a few of the dishes, the atmosphere, and staff headshots.
Being a part of their new venture in Cambridge by providing photography that could be used across web and social media was an honour, and seeing them thrive in my beloved city was even more satisfying.
Still to this date, one of my favourite restaurants in Cambridge. The staff and menu have evolved since, but the essence has remained.
Interesting for me too to look back at the images and reflect on how my work has evolved over the last 3 years!
